Events 2012

23rd April 2012. 7.30pm at North Creake village hall. A talk with slides by Brian Beers of The Garden Farmer Business who speciaises in veg, fruit and herb growing.

23rd May 2012. Visit to Hindringham Hall Gardens. Timing of visit will be announced later.

26th May 2012. Grand raffle at Creake Abbey. The Creakes Gardeners Club will be once again holding their annual Grand Raffle in aid of Wells Hospital at the Creake Abbey Plant Fair. Last year we raised £750 for this very worthwile cause.

21st June 2012. Visit to Swaffham Eco Centre and Garden. A Guided Tour of the Eco Centre and Garden. Meet there at 2.00pm

August 2012. Annual Coffee Morning. To be held courtesy of Alan and Doreen Crisp at No 4 West Street North Creake. Exact date and time yet to be finalised.

1st September 2012. 7.30pm at North Creake village hall. The 16th Annual Horticultural Show. Entries open to all members of the Creake Gardeners Club and from residents of both North & South Creake. For a schedule please contact Alan Crisp on 01328 738142.

26th November 2012. We will hold the Annual General Meeting followed by an informal questions and answer session with a local gardening expert.

The club

The Gardening Club has been going now for 12 years, in which many subjects have been covered including the growing of many different varieties of flowers, shrubs and produce.There have also been speakers about the wild life that can be found in all our gardens. We organise many outside visits to interesting gardens in the summer as well.

Our meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month, with the exception of January and December, in North Creake Village Hall at 7.30pm (click on Events Calendar-Future events for details and dates). Visitors are always very welcome.

We have two special annual events each year, they are a coffee morning, which is held in Mr & Mrs Crisp's back garden and our popular Horticultural Show which is held on the first Saturday in September in North Creake Village Hall.

The annual subscription is £8, which includes tea or coffee and biscuits. Visitors pay £2 per meeting.
